We, retired couple live in 3 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms apartment in Newmarket/Remuera. Our street is James Cook Crescent, Remuera, Auckland. Our room (for our couple) is ensuite. Other two rooms are available for homestay with a separate bathroom. This means maximum 2 people at once have to share a bathroom.
I have lived in foreign country at age of 19 and learnt the foreign language there and studied in the university in that language, so I know what it is like to arrive in a foreign country, language barriers and not know anyone!!! Likewise I have worked, traveled and lived in many countries including in Asia, Africa, Europe, Asia Pacific and North America for several years. We have experience of hosting international students from China and South Korea so far.
The train station and public bus stops are at 5 minutes walks from home. Supermarkets (including Chinese, Japanese, Korean, European), shopping mall (Westfield), restaurants, shops, fast food eateries, cinemas, cafes, parks, train station, bus stops, clinics, pharmacies, post shop, banks, etc. are within 5-7 mins walking distance.

BEDROOMS & AVAILABILITY:
The rooms are well furnished, warm and sunny. Each room has two windows, desk, chair, bed linen, drawer, wardrobe, mirror and table lamp.
A separate bathroom is allocated for homestays' use only.
Room #1- with two single beds; Available from 6 Jan 2024 - 31 Dec 2025
Room#2 - with a double size bed; Available from 1 Dec- 18 Dec 2023; 6 Jan-16 Jan 2024

FEES:
Daily rates apply for duration less than 4 weeks.
Payments: at front for two weeks or entire period.
Room#1: $120/ night(dual); $100/night (single); $700/week (dual); $500/week (single)
Room#2: $100/night; $550/week (couple); $500/week (for a single)
Security Deposit(refundable): $500 or two weeks of homestay fee
Key Deposit (refundable): $200 (if applicable)
Airport pick up/drop off : $60 (8 am-8 pm) and other times $80.
Secured car park: $50/week.

MEALS:
Breakfasts (cereals or toast and spreads, tea, coffee) are included in the fee.
Dinners plus lunches on Saturday & Sunday can be provided for long-term homestays @ $100/week per person.
Lunches on term breaks or school holidays (5 lunches in a week) can be provided for long-term homestays @ $60/week.

NOTES:
We may provide transport services or sight seeing in Auckland at prevailing government car operating cost rate for your entire trip. The current rate is 95 cents per km.
