My name is Serena, a second-year PhD student from China in the School of Medical and Health Sciences at the University of Auckland

After spending a year in university accommodation, I am seeking a homestay experience to better connect with New Zealand culture and practice my English in a family environment. While university dormitories have served me well academically, the single-room setup has provided limited opportunities for meaningful cultural exchange.
I am a quiet, responsible student who spends most weekdays (Monday-Friday) conducting research at the university. I would be grateful for:

*A private room in your home.
*Access to kitchen facilities for one afternoon or early evening per week to prepare simple meals

I am committed to being a respectful household member who keeps shared spaces clean and organized. As I usually eat meals on campus, I would not require meal preparation from you.

I believe this arrangement would be mutually beneficial - while I gain invaluable cultural insights and language practice, I can also share perspectives from my own background and academic experiences.
