Hi! My name is Yongping, I’m a 25-year-old female from China. I will arrive in Auckland on 22 February on a Working Holiday visa. I’m independent and used to living with others, and I always try to be considerate, tidy and respectful in a shared home. I don’t smoke and I like a clean, calm environment.
For the past year I have been living in Ireland with local landlords/host families, so I’m very familiar with sharing space, following house rules and communicating about small things in daily life.
In daily life I’m quite easy-going. I enjoy reading, watching films and going for walks, and I’m usually quiet on weeknights because of work or study. At the same time I’m happy to chat and share stories when people feel like talking.
One of my favourite things is cooking. I can make simple Chinese home-style food (including dumplings and some spicy Hunan dishes) and I’d love to occasionally cook for the family or share meals together if that suits you.
I’m looking for a friendly homestay where people respect each other’s space but also enjoy a warm atmosphere. I hope to learn more about New Zealand culture and improve my English while also sharing a bit of my own culture.
