Kia ora! I'm Nicole, 31, moving to Auckland from Manila, Ph, to take my master's at EIT (in CBD Queen street). I arrive on June 24 and will be in short-term accommodation initially, looking to move into a longer-term homestay. Ideally, I am looking for a place for the duration of my 2 yr program, but I'm flexible and open to shorter commitments like 3 or 6 months if that suits you better.
As it's my very first time in Auckland, I'm looking for a place where I can get settled in and get used to the city. My schedule will be a mix of on-campus classes, remote study, and searching for a part-time job.
Since my campus is on Queen street, i am looking for a place with an easy commute to the cbd ideally under 45 mins by bus or train. My budget is 200/week.
I lean toward being introverted, but I'm definitely not anti-social. I would love a household where we can occasionally share a meal, watch a movie, or just have a good chat. I'm very comfortable around kids and pets, so a busy family home is absolutely fine with me.
When it comes to meals, I have a pretty flexible sched. I tend to just eat whenever I'm hungry rather than sticking to set meal times. I don't need a strict full-board arrangement, I'm happy to buy and cook my own food, but I'm also more than open to pitching in for food sometimes.
Naturally, I am reliable with rent, mindful of household boundaries, and very proactive about keeping my space clean and tidy. Looking forward to connecting!
