Come live in a beautiful area called St Heliers in a tidy warm home with an English teacher/tour guide, two sweet cats and a sunny big backyard with a jacuzzi.

I regularly host foreign guests studying or working in Auckland city. I am originally from California and have lived in NZ for 32 years and am fluent in English and Spanish. I’m an experienced caring mom - my 4 children have grown and flown.

My house is a 1-minute walk to the bus which is 20-minute direct ride to Auckland CBD (central business district) with stunning ocean views the whole way. It’s close to shops and a lovely beach for walking, sunbathing and swimming.

I have 3 rooms available. Each room has a bed & linens, bedside table with lamp, a desk and chair, drawer and closet space, utilities (gas, power, water) included, and unlimited fast WIFI. There is a shared bathroom upstairs and an additional toilet. Plus the downstairs sleepout has its own separate entrance, shower and bathroom.

The price is: $300 with no meals or $350 for 2 meals per day (usually breakfast and dinner). Extra fee for lunches, if desired.

You have full access to the fully-stocked kitchen with oil, sugar, soy sauce, salt etc.

I am happy to provide privacy and independence, or interaction and involvement, depending on your preferred style. I am open to stays of one month to one year.
