About this homestay
I regularly host foreign guests studying or working in Auckland city. I am originally from California and have lived in NZ for 32 years and am fluent in English and Spanish. I’m an experienced caring mom - my 4 adult children have grown and flown.
My house is a 1-minute walk to the bus which is 20-minute direct ride to Auckland CBD (central business district) with stunning ocean views the whole way. It’s close to shops and a lovely beach for walking, sunbathing and swimming.
I have 3 rooms available. Each room has a bed & linens, bedside table with lamp, a desk and chair, drawer and closet space, utilities (gas, power, water) included, and unlimited fast WIFI. There is a shared bathroom upstairs and a separate shared toilet.
The price is:
Blue room with double bed: $250 per week
Large room with double bed: $300 per week
Garden room with private-entrance & private-bathroom/shower/toilet: $350 per week/$450 for a couple (Garden room is downstairs and not connected to house. Bathroom is your own and private - located 3 meters away in downstairs of house.
You have full access to kitchen and a shelf in the refrigerator and a shelf in the food cupboard so you can cook for yourself also.
I am happy to provide privacy and independence, or interaction and involvement, depending on your preferred style. I am open to stays of one month to one year. In case you want to know about me, I like riding my motorcycle, watching movies, scuba diving, playing pickleball, travelling, going to the gym, cooking and reading.

Big kitchen, huge living room with couches, TV, sound system, Nintendo, and large sunny deck with outdoor furniture to relax.
