Hello, I'm Xinyu, a 24-year-old student from Xi’an, China. I'll be starting my Master’s degree at the University of Auckland (City Campus) in the first semester of 2026 (S1 2026). I'm excited to study in New Zealand and hope to find a welcoming homestay located within a convenient commute to the university—preferably within a 20-minute bus ride, with a bus stop nearby for direct access to campus.
I’m looking for a place in a neighbourhood with easy access to daily amenities such as supermarkets, so daily living is convenient. Regarding meals, I would prefer to prepare my own food and am happy to share kitchen space respectfully. My budget is around $300 per week (including utilities such as water, electricity, and internet).
I enjoy living in a clean and organised environment and am respectful of shared spaces and house routines. I'm a quiet, considerate, and non-smoking person, and I also love animals—I’m very comfortable around pets. In my free time, I like reading, exploring nature, and getting to know local communities.
