About this homestay
Hello there,
My name is Sarah, and you'll be sharing my home with me and my friendly old cat 'Toby'. I offer a relaxed, family-style environment where you'll feel at home while still having your independence.
I'm an artist and children's author who loves painting, the beach, and spending time with family.
My fully furnished home is in Northcote on Auckland's North Shore, giving you the best of both worlds. The North Shore is the safest and most desirable areas in Auckland, and yet we're just over the Harbour Bridge and only 10 minutes from the CBD and Auckland University.
My house is on - Kauri Glen Road, Northcote, Auckland - if you want to look it up.
The house has a lovely garden, private courtyard, off-street parking, and garage storage. Laundry, cleaning, and fresh bed linen are included - just keep your room tidy.
Meals are optional and can be arranged to suit your needs. Let me know what meals you need and I will work out a price.
I'm looking for an easy-going, respectful person who would enjoy a welcoming home environment. I'd love to help make your time in New Zealand a great experience and can also help you improve your conversational English.
*** Booking confirmation ***
*Holding Deposit*
To secure a room, I require a 'holding deposit' equal to 2 weeks’ accommodation. This confirms your booking and reserves the room for your agreed arrival date.
The holding deposit is required before the booking is confirmed.
If you do not arrive on the agreed date, or cancel within 14 days of arrival, the deposit is non-refundable.
The 'holding deposit' is then held as 'bond' for the duration of your stay.
This bond is fully refundable at the end of your stay, provided the room is left in good condition and there are no outstanding payments or damage.
*First payment before arrival*
The first weeks’ accommodation must also be paid in advance before arrival.
This means that prior to moving in, you will have paid:
- 2 weeks holding deposit / bond
- your first weeks rent
This ensures the room is fully booked and ready for your stay.
*Cancellations*
Any cancellation within 14 days of your arrival or no-show: your deposit is retained
