Join a lovely home in Torbay, North Shore, Auckland. There are two rooms available, both with their own ensuites.
(note that the $399 per week includes all food). We are flexible with dates and length of stay. We are flexible also with food. You may not want all three meals.
An opportunity to be in a homestay with a relaxed couple whose kids have left the nest. We are a couple in our active 50s/60s.
Yes, we would like you to speak English as much as possible. We would like you to be sociable but also we respect your privacy.
The house is a comfortable home in a safe suburb of Torbay on the North Shore, Auckland. We are a walking distance to Long Bay Beach, Waiake beach and we have a beach only steps away. There are also cafes, hair dressers and restaurants in walking distance
Breakfast: cereal /toast/oats is provided for you to make breakfast (or something else if you prefer)
Lunch: make your own with food provided.
Dinner: will be made for you.
There may be occasions when you will need to prepare your own food from materials and ingredients provided.
Myself and/or husband might go away for a day or two now and then.
Walking times are from Google Maps;
There is a bus stop 10 minutes walk which will take you to the Albany bus depot where you can get all around Auckland.
Both bedrooms have a double wardrobe, one room has a queen bed and the other a double. a chest of drawers, desk with chair, heater.
Nice bed coverings, sheets and towels are provided.
The house is overall quite large. We have a large bedroom upstairs. There is a large garden with vegetable beds and fruite trees. There is private areas to sit and relax and we have a heated pool for summer use.
The kitchen is quite large. Room to store your snacks. Bring friends for a cup of tea or coffee.
There's enough room to have friends around without disturbing everyone else. A great atmosphere.
We do have a dog and a cat. The dog is a retriver named Leo and our cat is named Remi. Leo goes for a walk most days down to Long Bay Beach where he loves to swim. They are both friendly.
To keep a pleasant home, please clean up after yourself after using kitchen or bathroom. Also, vacuum and keep your room in a clean condition. We have a good washing machine, and a clothes dryer for when the weather isn't the best for outside!
