We have a small single room off the garage so it offers some privacy away from us if you want yet close enough to feel part of the family if you wish, the room has a bed, desk and wardrobe, high speed internet and tv on the wall that just needs a dangle to use apps.
Admittedly it has no wall windows instead it has a skylight window in the roof.
There is also room to park a car off the street and plenty of room for street parking as well.
You would share a bathroom with 2 children aged 8 and 10.
Most of the time the kids use my bathroom so it would be mostly yours.
Same goes for the toilet as the house has 2 toilets.
We have previously hosted workaways and they have always loved living with us and we have always received great reviews for making people feel welcome.
We are wanting to host a female worker, traveller or student.
It is a busy home with just the three of us, the two kids and I, we are lively and fun and we enjoy learning about different cultures and countries.
We have a nice warm house with ventilation system and a fire place.
2 cats to keep you company and every second weekend and 2 of the weekdays house would be just us adults.
You are welcome to eat dinner with us, or there is a separate fridge in the garage if you want to store food there.
When the children are away at their Dad’s I may not cook every night.
Toast and cereal and yoghurt supplied for breakfast.
The Glen Eden train station is a short walk away.
There is a bus stop at the end of the street but likely you will find the train more convenient.
Glen Eden is a diverse town with many different cultures, the best restaurant is one called little India.
We also have Thai, Malaysian and Italian restaurants in the area.
There is a small town centre called Glen Mall, it has 2 small supermarkets several cafes, fish and chip shops, post office, liquor store, cheaper variety shops where you can get most things and several bakeries.
The closest bigger shopping centre is Lynn mall, it is the next station on the train line heading into the city.
A train trip to the CBD will take around 35 minutes and trains run frequently in peak hours.
It’s is roughly a 15 minutes walk from the train station to our house.
We have very friendly neighbours, in fact the kids play at the neighbours and vice versa.
We are a close drive to the West Coast beaches like Piha and Cornwallis Beach.


Additionally if you are looking to improve your English, my two children will take care of teaching you through engaging conversations.
They are also very good for keeping you fit, and there is an extra bicycle if you want to use it you are very welcome.
