We have had the privilege of hosting and efficiently helping more than 10 Chinese students to rapidly develop their English language skills.

For over ten years, we've had the pleasure of being a host family for students and travellers, and it's a role we absolutely cherish. Our primary aim is to create a secure and affectionate environment for individuals from around the world who are studying or exploring New Zealand.

Our residence is ideally situated, just a 10-minute bus ride away from Downtown Auckland and the University. We reside in one of Auckland's most sought-after and secure neighborhoods, surrounded by other families. Our home is a spacious 7-bedroom villa in the heart of Mt Eden, a prestigious area in Auckland known for its charm. The property boasts expansive gardens meticulously maintained, and even features a pool.

As an active family of six, we frequently engage in various activities, including sports, barbecues, beach outings, and more. On weekends, we often visit our large bach in Tairua, Coromandel, providing an excellent opportunity for students and travelers to explore different facets of New Zealand.

Our family consists of four sons, aged 16, 15, 7, and 6 years old. The two older boys currently attend Auckland Boys Grammar, while the younger ones are enrolled in a nearby primary school. Our family makeup is a blend of Kiwi heritage, with me hailing from Auckland, and my wife originating from Fort Worth, Texas, USA. Notably, our kids have actively contributed to helping more than 10 students improve their English language skills.

At present, we have one room available in our home. Conveniently, there's a bus stop right outside our driveway, providing a quick 5-10 minute ride to Auckland City.

For $450, you'll receive all-inclusive benefits, including dinner, breakfast and all utilities. Our family loves to cook, and with a resident chef, you can expect delicious, generous meals. Additionally, this rate covers all utilities, such as power, water, ultra-fast broadband, and the comforts of air conditioning and heat pumps. You can also enjoy our pool, barbecue facilities, and ample parking space if you have a car.

To provide a more comprehensive English learning opportunity, we offer an enhanced homestay experience, where we will allocate additional time and resources to accelerate your English language acquisition. This upgraded option is available at a rate of $500 per week and is well worth the investment.
